in a 2011 Sienna XLE, that little screen will not allow you to change the brightness while in motion, but allows you to change the time and units. this is especially aggravating at night when you want to change the brightness when it is way too bright.

I’ve owned about 16 Toyotas. I can tell you with certainty, that every one had an aggravating nonsensical issue about something on it. At least you found one that doesn’t involve head bolt torque or horrible drive by wire programming.
I’ve got an Uplander minivan for family duty. Trust me, I wish I had a Sienna, so I could actually go someplace in it, like out of my area code without codes and general failure.

Toyota makes great daily cars and overall they are really dependable. But mannnn that one problem thing is so true. My uncle Corolla is a 2008 and my Civic is 2006, and theres so many small nonsensical issues. My uncle got a lemon though, its had way more problems than you’d expect from a Corolla, so no more toyota for my family. Even my Camry had annoying problems, like the volume knob would come off so easily.

this is a serious problem that must be addressed! some poor old chap driving at night unable to adjust the brightness will get too cold and adjust the ac, only there isn't a light for ac at the ac button, so he must check the climate monitor to see if it is on. when he does, he is immediately blinded by the brightness and doesn't see a deer in his path and gets abducted by aliens!!! toyota must do something!
